The Chord is a 2010 French-language Crime film directed by Benjamin Rocher and Yannick Dahan and produced by Rapha L Rocher under the banner of Capture Films in collaboration with Le Pacte, Coficup, Canal+ and Cin Cin ma. A mysterious murder involves a violinist (Maysa), but the police officer (Seleem) manages to decipher the crime. The movie studies the female inter-sibling undercurrent competition, when for example they approach one man for his love. The chord features Claude Perron in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Jean-pierre Martins, Eriq Ebouaney, Aur Lien Recoing, Doudou Masta, Antoine Oppenheim and Jo Prestia. The screenplay is written by Arnaud Bordas, Yannick Dahan, Stephane Moissakis and Benjamin Rocher. The music was composed by Christopher Lennertz. Cinematography was done by Julien Meurice and editing by Dimitri Amar. The movie has a running time of 96 minutes. It was released on 15th September 2011.
