The Conquest of Everest is a 1953 English-language Documentary Adventure motion picture written by Louis Macneice and directed by George Lowe and produced by Leon Clore, John Taylor and Grahame Tharp under the banner of Countryman Films in collaboration with Group 3. Documentary that covers the famous and successful expedition of the Everest conquest by Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary, the first climbers to reach its peak. The conquest of everest features Meredith Edwards, John Hunt, George Band, Tom Bourdillon, Charles Evans, Alfred Gregory and Eric Shipton. The music was composed by Arthur Benjamin.
