The Contractor is a 2007 English-language Action Drama motion picture written by Robert Foster, Joshua Michael Stern, Robert Katz and André Farwagi. The movie is directed by Josef Rusnak and produced by Rudy Cohen under the banner of Destination Films in collaboration with April Productions and RMA Productions. An ex-CIA agent is asked to take out a terrorist, only to realize he's been set up by his former employer. The contractor features Wesley Snipes in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Eliza Bennett, Lena Headey, Ralph Brown, Charles Dance, Gemma Jones and Iain Robertson. The music was composed by Nicholas Pike. Cinematography was done by Wedigo von Schultzendorff and editing by Tracy Granger and James Herbert. The movie has a running time of 98 min. It was released on 10th July 2007. The Contractor was made on a budget of $18 million and at the box office it grossed only $5 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
