The Deep End of the Ocean is a 1999 English-language Drama movie written by Jacquelyn Mitchard and Stephen Schiff. The movie is directed by Ulu Grosbard and produced by Kate Guinzburg and Steve Nicolaides under the banner of Columbia Pictures in collaboration with Mandalay Entertainment. The Deep End of The Ocean is a film about a family's reaction when Ben, the youngest son is kidnapped and then found nine years later, living in the same town, where his family had just moved. The deep end of the ocean features Michelle Pfeiffer in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Treat Williams, Jonathan Jackson, John Kapelos, Whoopi Goldberg, Cory Buck and Ryan Merriman. The screenplay is written by Stephen Schiff which is inspired from The Deep End of the Ocean by Jacquelyn Mitchard. The music was composed by Elmer Bernstein. Cinematography was done by Stephen Goldblatt and editing by John Bloom. The motion picture has a running time of 108 minutes. It was released on 12th March 1999.
