The Diary of a Teenage Girl is a 2015 English-language Comedy Drama film written and directed by Marielle Heller and produced by Miranda Bailey, Anne Carey, Bert Hamelinck and Madeline Samit. A teen artist living in 1970s San Francisco enters into an affair with her mother's boyfriend. The diary of a teenage girl features Bel Powley, Alexander Skarsg Rd, Christopher Meloni, Kristen Wiig, Willie, Abby Wait and Patrick Darrow. The screenplay is written by Marielle Heller which is inspired from The Diary of a Teenage Girl: An Account in Words and Pictures by Phoebe Gloeckner. The music was composed by Nate Heller. Cinematography was done by Brandon Trost and editing by Marie-H l ne Dozo and Koen Timmerman. The movie has a running time of 102 minutes. It was released on 7th August 2015 and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. The Diary of a Teenage Girl was made on a budget of $2 million and at the box office it grossed only $1 million. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Sony Pictures Classics.
