The Eye is a 2008 English-language Drama Horror motion picture directed by David Moreau and Xavier Palud and produced by Paula Wagner and Don Granger under the banner of Cruise/Wagner Productions in collaboration with Vertigo Entertainment. The violinist Sydney Wells has been blind since she was five years old due to an accident. She submits to a surgery of cornea transplantation to recover her vision, and while recovering from the operation, she realizes that she's having strange visions. With the support of Dr. Paul Faulkner, Sidney finds who the donor of her eyes and begins a journey to find out the truth behind her visions. Written by Genesis Rojas, Caracas, Venezuela. The eye stars Jessica Alba, Alessandro Nivola, Parker Posey, Rade Erbed Ija, Rade Serbedzija, Fernanda Romero and Paul Zepeda. The screenplay is written by Sebastian Gutierrez which is inspired from The Eye by Pang brothers Jo Jo Yuet-chun Hui. The music was composed by Marco Beltrami. Cinematography was done by Jeffrey Jur and editing by Patrick Lussier. The motion picture has a running time of 98 minutes. It was released on 28th February 2008. The Eye was made on a budget of $12 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $12 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Paramount Vantage.
