The Gentleman is a 1994 Hindi-language Action Drama motion picture directed by Mahesh Bhatt and produced by Bharat S Shah and Allu Aravind under the banner of Geetha Arts. Vijay runs a small business and is also a master thief who is wanted by the cops. But, his motive for committing theft is to build a school where students can get free education and become professionals in their field. The gentleman stars Chiranjeevi in the lead role along with Juhi Chawla, Paresh Rawal, Laxmikant Berde, Heera Rajagopal, Heera Rajgopal, Deepak Tijori and Harish in supporting roles. The screenplay is written by Mahesh Bhatt which is inspired from Gentleman by S. Shankar. The music was composed by Ar Rahman along with Anu Malik and A.r. Rahman. Cinematography was done by Jeeva and editing by Sanjay Sankla. It was released on 18th November 1994. The Film was successful at box office. The Gentleman was made on a budget of ₹3 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹4 crore. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Geetha Arts.
