The Good Shepherd is a 2006 English-language Drama History film written by Eric Roth and directed by Robert De Niro and produced by Jane Rosenthal, James G. Robinson and Robert De Niro under the banner of Morgan Creek Productions in collaboration with TriBeCa Productions and American Zoetrope. The tumultuous early history of the Central Intelligence Agency is viewed through the prism of one man's life. The good shepherd features Matt Damon, Angelina Jolie, Alec Baldwin, Tammy Blanchard, Billy Crudup, Keir Dullea and Danny Zaccagnino. The music was composed by Marcelo Zarvos along with Bruce Fowler. Cinematography was done by Robert Richardson and editing by Tariq Anwar. The movie has a running time of 167 minutes. It was released on 26th April 2007. The Good Shepherd was made on a budget of $110 million and at the box office it grossed only $100 million. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Universal Pictures.
