The Hideous Sun Demon is a 1958 English-language Horror Sci-Fi movie written by Robert Clarke, Phil Hiner, Doane R. Hoag and E.s. Seeley Jr. The movie is directed by Tom Boutross and Robert Clarke and produced by Robert Clarke. A scientist, Gilbert McKenna has an accident where he is exposed to high levels of radiation. Surprisingly this does not kill him but instead leaves him unable to be exposed to sunlight. Whenever exposed to sunlight, McKenna devolves into a lizard man with homicidal tendencies. After having a brief fling with a nightclub singer, and killing her boyfriend, McKenna is on the lam from the police which culminates in a one on one battle on top of a tower. Great monster costume and Shatner type acting from Clarke are the most memorable parts of this great 1950s creature feature. Written by Campbellnator. The hideous sun demon features Robert Clarke in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Patricia Manning, Nan Peterson, Patrick Whyte, Fred La Porta, Peter Similuk and William White. The music was composed by John Seely. Cinematography was done by Stan Follis, Vilis Lapenieks and John Arthur Morrill and editing by Tom Boutross. The film has a running time of 74 minutes.
