The Hiding Place is a 1975 English-language Biography Drama motion picture written by Allan Sloane, Lawrence Holben, Corrie Ten Boom and John And Elizabeth Sherrill. The movie is directed by James F. Collier and produced by Frank R. Jacobson and William F. Brown. Corrie and Betsie ten Boom are middle-aged sisters working in their father's watchmaker shop in pre-World War II Holland. Their uneventful lives are disrupted with the coming of the Nazis. Suspected of hiding Jews and caught breaking rationing rules, they are sent to a concentration camp, where their Christian faith keeps them from despair and bitterness. Betsie eventually dies, but Corrie survives, and after the war, must learn to love and forgive her former captors. Written by Mark Hettler. The hiding place stars Julie Harris, Jeannette Clift, Arthur O'connell, Robert Rietti, Robert Rietty, Pamela Sholto and Corrie Ten Boom. The music was composed by Tedd Smith. Cinematography was done by Michael Reed and editing by Ann Chegwidden. The film has a running time of 150 minutes. It was released on 15th February 1977. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by World Wide Pictures.
