The Killer is a 1999 Kannada-language Comedy Horror movie written by Benjamin Carr and directed by David Decoteau and produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Vishal Bhardwaj under the banner of Big Screen Entertainment and Eros International. An ophthamologist is trying to develop a technique for ing into another dimension. After a previous experiment went terribly wrong, blinding his test subject he makes some revisions to his methodology. Unfortunately, his latest experiment is a horrible success. His newest test subject peers into another dimension and is killed by an extra-dimensional entity which enters our world and infests the eye of the subject. After expanding to enormous size and detaching from the body of its victim, the eye goes on a rampage. Written by Patrick D. Rockwell. The killer features Dave Oren Ward in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Jacqueline Lovell, Jonathan Norman, Nanette Bianchi, Costas Koromilas, Blake Adams and Ryan Van Steenis. The music was composed by Vishal Bhardwaj. The movie has a running time of 72 minutes. It was released on 25th February 1999. The Killer was made on a budget of ₹7 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹4 crore. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Eros International.
