The Last of the Mohicans is a 1936 English-language Adventure Drama film written by John L. Balderston, Daniel Moore and Paul Perez. The movie is directed by George B. Seitz and produced by Edward Small under the banner of Reliance Pictures. As Alice and Cora Munro attempt to find their father, a British officer in the French and Indian War, they are set upon by French soldiers and their cohorts, Huron tribesmen led by the evil Magua. Fighting to rescue the women are Chingachgook and his son Uncas, the last of the Mohican tribe, and their white ally, the frontiersman Natty Bumppo, known as Hawkeye. Written by Jim Beaver. The last of the mohicans stars Randolph Scott, Binnie Barnes, Henry Wilcoxon, Bruce Cabot, Heather Angel, Phillip Reed and John Sutton. The screenplay is written by Philip Dunne which is inspired from The Last of the Mohicans 1826 novel by James Fenimore Cooper. The music was composed by Roy Webb. Cinematography was done by Robert H. Planck and editing by Jack Dennis and Harry Marker. The film has a running time of 92 minutes. It was released on 4th September 1936. The Film was successful at box office.
