The Lookout is a 2007 English-language Crime Drama movie written and directed by Scott Frank and produced by Walter Parkes, Laurence Mark, Gary Barber and Roger Birnbaum under the banner of Spyglass Entertainment. Chris is a once promising high school athlete whose life is turned upside down following a tragic accident. As he tries to maintain a normal life, he takes a job as a janitor at a bank, where he ultimately finds himself caught up in a planned heist. The lookout features Joseph Gordon-levitt in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Jeff Daniels, Matthew Goode, Isla Fisher, Bruce Mcgill, Carla Gugino and Alberta Watson. The music was composed by James Newton Howard. Cinematography was done by Alar Kivilo and editing by Jill Savitt. The movie has a running time of 98 minutes. The Lookout was made on a budget of $16 million and at the box office it grossed only $5 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Miramax Films.
