The movie is directed by Chuck Russell and produced by Bob Engelman under the banner of Dark Horse Entertainment. Carrey plays Stanley Ipkiss, an ordinary man who finds a magical wooden green mask that transforms him into the Mask, a green-faced troublemaker with the ability to animate and alter himself and his surroundings at will. The mask features Jim Carrey in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Peter Riegert, Peter Greene, Amy Yasbeck, Richard Jeni, Cameron Diaz and Orestes Matacena. The screenplay is written by Mike Werb which is inspired from The Mask by Dark Horse Comics. The music was composed by Randy Edelman. Cinematography was done by John R.
