The Mule is a 2018 English Crime Drama film written by Nick Schenk and directed by Clint Eastwood. The film was produced by Clint Eastwood, Tim Moore, Kristina Rivera, Jessica Meier, and Bradley Thomas. A 90-year-old Korean war veteran and horticulturist Earl Stone in dire need of money turns into a drug mule for a Mexican Cartel. Things seem fine until the Drug Enforcement Administration task force is narrowing in on his deliveries to Chicago. The Movie stars Clint Eastwood in the lead role along with Bradley Cooper, Michael Peña, Laurence Fishburne, Dianne Wiest, and Andy Garcia in supporting roles. Andy Garcia was ready to accept any role she was offered as she was desperate to work with Clint Eastwood. It was released on 14 December 2018. The cinematography was done by Yves Belanger and edited by Joel Cox. Arturo Sandoval composed the music. The film occupies a run time of 116 minutes and was distributed by Warner Bros.The Film was made on a budget of $50 million and it was a super hit at the box office grossing $172.5 million. The screenplay, by Nick Schenk, is based on The New York Times article "The Sinaloa Cartel's 90-Year-Old Drug Mule" by Sam Dolnick, which recounts the true story of Leo Sharp, a World War II veteran in his 80s who became a drug courier for the Sinaloa Cartel. This movie is the second in Clint Eastwood’s career to have Mule in the title.
