The Nightmare Before Christmas is a 1993 English-language Animation Family motion picture written by Tim Burton, Michael Mcdowell and Caroline Thompson. The movie is directed by Henry Selick and produced by Tim Burton and Denise Di Novi. Jack Skellington, king of Halloween Town, discovers Christmas Town, but his attempts to bring Christmas to his home cause confusion. The nightmare before christmas stars Danny Elfman in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Chris Sarandon, Catherine O'hara, William Hickey, Glenn Shadix, Paul Reubens and Ken Page. The screenplay is written by Caroline Thompson which is inspired from Characters by Tim Burton. The music was composed by Danny Elfman. Cinematography was done by Pete Kozachik and editing by Stan Webb. The motion picture has a running time of 76 minutes. It was released on 29th October 1993 and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. The Nightmare Before Christmas was made on a budget of $18 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $89 million.
