The Phantom of the Opera is a 1925 Silent-language Horror movie directed by Rupert Julian, Lon Chaney and Ernst Laemmle and produced by Carl Laemmle under the banner of Universal Pictures. The phantom of the opera features Lon Chaney, Norman Kerry, Mary Philbin, Arthur Edmund Carewe, Gibson Gowland, Snitz Edwards and D'arcy Corrigan. The screenplay is written by Walter Anthony, Elliott J. Clawson, Bernard McConville, Frank M. McCormack, Tom Reed, Raymond L. Schrock, Jasper Spearing and Richard Wallace which is inspired from The Phantom of the Opera 1910 novel by Gaston Leroux. The music was composed by Gustav Hinrichs. Cinematography was done by Charles Van Enger, Milton Bridenbecker and Virgil Miller and editing by Edward Curtiss, Maurice Pivar, Gilmore Walker and Lois Weber.
