The film tells the story of the Archangel Gabriel and his search for an evil soul on Earth, and a police detective who unknowingly becomes caught in the middle of an angelic civil war. The prophecy stars Christopher Walken, Elias Koteas, Virginia Madsen, Eric Stoltz, Amanda Plummer, Viggo Mortensen and Patrick Mcallister. The music was composed by David C. Williams. Cinematography was done by Richard Clabaugh and Bruce Douglas Johnson and editing by Sonny Baskin. The film has a running time of 97 minutes. It was released on 5th August 1995. The movie made a box office gross of $16 million. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Miramax Films.
