The Road is a 2009 English-language Adventure Drama motion picture written by Cormac Mccarthy and Joe Penhall. The movie is directed by John Hillcoat and produced by Nick Wechsler, Steve Schwartz and Paula Mae Schwartz under the banner of 2929 Productions. In a dangerous post-apocalyptic world, an ailing father defends his son as they slowly travel to the sea. The road stars Viggo Mortensen, Kodi Smit-mcphee, Robert Duvall, Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce, Molly Parker and Mark Tierno. The screenplay is written by Joe Penhall which is inspired from The Road by Cormac McCarthy. The music was composed by Nick Cave along with Warren Ellis.
