The Survivors is a 1983 English-language Comedy Crime motion picture written by Michael Leeson and Jonathan Reynolds. The movie is directed by Michael Ritchie and produced by William Sackheim. Having both lost their jobs, two strangers become unlikely friends after a run in with a would be robber, who is actually a hitman with a grudge against the two. The survivors features Walter Matthau in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Robin Williams, Jerry Reed, Kristen Vigard, James Wainwright, Annie Mcenroe and Anne Pitoniak. The music was composed by Paul Chihara. Cinematography was done by Billy Williams and editing by Richard A. Harris. The movie has a running time of 102 minutes. It was released on 22nd June 1983. The Survivors was made on a budget of $15 million and at the box office it grossed only $14 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Columbia Pictures.
