The Tale of Despereaux is a 2008 English-language Animation Adventure motion picture written by Will Mcrobb, Chris Viscardi and Gary Ross. The movie is directed by Sam Fell and Rob Stevenhagen and produced by Gary Ross and Allison Thomas under the banner of Relativity Media in collaboration with Larger Than Life Productions. The tale of three unlikely heroes - a misfit mouse who prefers reading books to eating them, an unhappy rat who schemes to leave the darkness of the dungeon, and a bumbling servant girl with cauliflower ears - whose fates are intertwined with that of the castle's princess.
