The Thirteenth Floor is a 1999 English-language Mystery Sci-Fi movie written by Daniel F. Galouye, Josef Rusnak and Ravel Centeno-rodriguez. The movie is directed by Josef Rusnak and produced by Roland Emmerich, Ute Emmerich and Marco Weber under the banner of Centropolis Entertainment. A computer scientist running a virtual reality simulation of 1937 becomes the primary suspect when his colleague and mentor is murdered. The thirteenth floor features Craig Bierko in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Gretchen Mol, Vincent D'onofrio, Dennis Haysbert, Armin Mueller-stahl, Steven Schub and Jeremy Roberts. The screenplay is written by Josef Rusnak and Ravel Centeno-Rodriguez which is inspired from Simulacron-3 by Daniel F. Galouye. The music was composed by Harald Kloser. Cinematography was done by Wedigo von Schultzendorff and editing by Henry Richardson. The motion picture has a running time of 100 minutes. It was released on 15th July 1999. The Thirteenth Floor was made on a budget of $16 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $18 million. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Columbia Pictures.
