The Towering Inferno is a 1974 English-language Action Drama film written by Richard Martin Stern, Thomas N. Scortia, Frank M. Robinson and Stirling Silliphant. The movie is directed by John Guillermin and produced by Irwin Allen under the banner of 20th Century Fox in collaboration with Warner Bros. and Irwin Allen Productions. At the opening party of a colossal, but poorly constructed, office building, a massive fire breaks out that threatens to destroy the tower and everyone in it.
