Thillana Mohanambal is a 1968 Tamil-language Drama Musical motion picture directed by A. P. Nagarajan and produced by A. P. Nagarajan under the banner of Sri Vijayalakshmi Pictures. A classical Bharatanatyam dancer and a nathaswaram player fall in love against the wishes of her family. The story is about how they try to work things out and that hardships that they have to endure. Dance and music are used as an integral part of the story rather than a pastime. Written by Soumitra. Thillana mohanambal features Sivaji Ganesan in the title role along with an ensemble cast including T. S. Balaiah, Shivaji Ganesan, Padmini Ramachandran, Aachi Manorama, Balaiya and C.k. Saraswathi. The screenplay is written by A. P. Nagarajan which is inspired from Thillana Mohanambal by Kothamangalam Subbu. The music was composed by K. V. Mahadevan. Cinematography was done by K. S. Prasad and editing by M. N. Rajan and T. R. Natarajan. The motion picture has a running time of 175 minutes. It was released on 27th July 1968.
