Thiruvarul is a 1975 Tamil-language Fantasy Drama film. After rising to fame, a staunch devotee of Lord Murugan devotes his wealth for the development of a temple. However, trouble brews up when his wife misinterprets his generous nature. Thiruvarul stars Jai Ganesh in the lead role along with A.v.m. Rajan, Major Sundarrajan, Gopalakrishnan, Sukumari Bhimsingh and J Jayalalitha in supporting roles. The music was composed by Shankar Ganesh. It was released on 1st January 1975.
