Today I Hang is a 1942 English-language Crime Drama motion picture written and directed by Oliver Drake and produced by Arthur Alexander, Max Alexander, George R. Batcheller Jr. and Alfred Stern. Henry Courtney, a wealthy importer is found murdered and the famous DeNormand necklace has been stolen. The false testimony of two witnesses, Rand and Hobbs, puts Jim O'Brien in the shadow of the hangman's noose. Martha Courtney, widow of the murdered man and Jim's former sweetheart is convinced he isn't guilty, and promises crooked lawyer Roger Lanning the necklace - which Jim doesn't have - if he can arrange for Jim's escape. Rand and Lanning killed Courtney, but Lanning doesn't know that Rand has the necklace. Written by Les Adams. Today i hang features Walter Woolf King, Mona Barrie, William Farnum, Harry Woods, James Craven, Michael Raffetto and Robert Walker. The music was composed by Johnny Lange. Cinematography was done by Edward Linden and editing by Charles Henkel Jr. The motion picture has a running time of 63 minutes. It was released on 9th January 1942.
