Toi is a 2007 Japanese-language Crime Drama show created by Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble. The show was Produced by Ryan Lindenberg, Adria Lang, Jason Sokoloff, Jennifer Lence and Wayne Carmona under the banner of Berlanti Productions in collaboration with Alloy Entertainment, A&E Studios, Warner Horizon Television and Man Sewing Dinosaur. The first season, which is based on the novel You, premiered on Lifetime in September 2018, and follows Joe Goldberg, a bookstore manager and serial killer who falls in love and develops an extreme obsession. Toi stars Penn Badgley in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Elizabeth Lail, Luca Padovan, Zach Cherry, Shay Mitchell, Victoria Pedretti and Jenna Ortega. The series is based on You by Caroline Kepnes. The music was composed by Blake Neely. Cinematography was done by David Lanzenberg, W.
