Triple 9 is a 2016 English-language Action Crime movie written by Matt Cook and directed by John Hillcoat and produced by Keith Redmon, Bard Dorros, Marc Butan, Anthony Katagas, Christopher Woodrow and John Hillcoat under the banner of Worldview Entertainment in collaboration with Sierra Pictures, Anonymous Content, MadRiver Pictures and SureFire Capital. In TRIPLE 9, a crew of dirty cops are blackmailed by the Russian mob to execute a virtually impossible heist. The only way to pull it off is to manufacture a 999, police code for officer down. Their plan is turned upside down when the unsuspecting rookie they set up to die foils the attack, triggering a breakneck, action-packed finale filled with double-crosses, greed and revenge. Written by Open Road Films. Triple 9 features Casey Affleck, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Anthony Mackie, Aaron Paul, Clifton Collins Jr., Norman Reedus and Blake Paris. The music was composed by Academy Award Oscar winner Atticus Ross along with Claudia Sarne, Leopold Ross and Bobby Krlic. Cinematography was done by Nicolas Karakatsanis and editing by Dylan Tichenor. The motion picture has a running time of 115 minutes. It was released on 17th March 2016. Triple 9 was made on a budget of $20 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $23 million. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Open Road Films.
