Tucker: The Man and His Dream is a 1988 English-language Biography Drama motion picture written by Arnold Schulman and David Seidler. The movie is directed by Francis Ford Coppola and produced by Fred Fuchs and Fred Roos under the banner of Lucasfilm Ltd. in collaboration with Zoetrope Studios. Tucker: the man and his dream features Jeff Bridges, Joan Allen, Martin Landau, Frederic Forrest, Mako, Dean Stockwell and Tom Tomorrow. The music was composed by Joe Jackson. Cinematography was done by Vittorio Storaro and editing by Priscilla Nedd-Friendly. The motion picture has a running time of 110 minutes. It was released on 12th August 1988. Tucker: The Man and His Dream was made on a budget of $24 million and at the box office it grossed only $19 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Paramount Pictures. Based on a true story. Shortly after World War II, Preston Tucker is a grandiose schemer with a new dream, to produce the best cars ever made. With the assistance of Abe Karatz and some impressive salesmanship on his own part, he obtains funding and begins to build his factory.
