Vaamanan is a 2009 Tamil-language Action Thriller movie written and directed by I. Ahmed and produced by R. Ravindran under the banner of Dream Valley Corporation. Anand comes to Chennai with an ambition of becoming an actor. However, his life turns upside down when he gets embroiled in the murder of a minister. Vaamanan features Jai in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Priya Anand, Lakshmi Rai, Raai Laxmi, Rashin Rahman, Santhanam N and Sampath Raj. The music was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Cinematography was done by Arvind Krishna and editing by S. Surajkavee. It was released on 10th July 2009.
