Veliyattam is a 1981 Malayalam-language Drama motion picture written by Pk Sarangapani, A. R. Jose and P. K. Sarangapani. The movie is directed by P. T. Rajan and produced by Thomas Mathew under the banner of Divya Productions. Veliyattam stars M. G. Soman in the title role along with Nisha Chowdhary, Ravikumar and Menaka Suresh in supporting roles. The screenplay is written by P. K. Sarangapani. The music was composed by M. K. Arjunan. Cinematography was done by N. A. Thara and editing by G. Venkittaraman. It was released on 19th May 1981. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Divya Productions.
