Vellam is a 2021 Malayalam-language Biography Drama film written and directed by Prajesh Sen and produced by Josekutty Madathil, Ranjith Manambrakkat, Yedu Krishna and Biju Thoranathel. Vellam features Jayasurya in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Samyuktha Menon, Siddique, Santhosh Keezhattoor, Johny Antony, Balashankar Venugopal and Sreelakshmi. The screenplay is written by Prajesh Sen. The music was composed by National Award winner Gopi Sundar along with Bijibal. Cinematography was done by Roby Varghese Raj and editing by Bijith Bala. It was released on 22nd January 2021. Vellam was made on a budget of ₹5 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹6 crore. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Central Pictures.
