Vimaanam is a 2017 Malayalam-language Drama Mystery film written and directed by Pradeep M. Nair and produced by Listin Stephen under the banner of Magic Frames. The life of Venkateswaran, a differently-able man from Kerala. It showcases how Venkidi, who had hearing impairment, fought all odds and built a lightweight aircraft from recycled materials without any external support. Vimaanam features Prithviraj Sukumaran in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Durga Krishna, Alencier Ley Lopez, Liya Anu Varghese, Sudheer Karamana, Saiju Kurup and Ashokan Ae. The music was composed by National Award winner Gopi Sundar. Cinematography was done by Shehnad Jalal and editing by Baiju Kurup. The motion picture has a running time of 147 minutes. It was released on 22nd November 2017. Vimaanam was made on a budget of ₹12 crore. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Adam's World of Imagination.
