Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa is a 2010 Tamil-language Drama Romance movie written and directed by Gautham Menon and produced by Elred Kumar, P. Madan, Vtv Ganesh and Jayaraman under the banner of Escape Artists Motion Pictures in collaboration with RS Infotainment. Vinnaithaandi varuvaayaa features T.r. Silambarasan in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Trisha Krishnan, Vtv Ganesh, Raja Krishnamoorthy, Babu Antony, Uma Pathmanabhan and Lakshmy Ramakrishnan. The music was composed by Ar Rahman along with A. R. Rahman. Cinematography was done by Manoj Paramahamsa and editing by Anthony Gonsalves. The movie has a running time of 167 minutes. It was released on 26th February 2010. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Red Giant Movies. At the 2011 South Filmfare Awards It won 2 awards including: Best Music Director and Best Lyricist.
