Water For Elephants is a 2011 English-language Drama Romance film written by Richard Lagravenese and Sara Gruen. The movie is directed by Francis Lawrence and produced by Gil Netter, Erwin Stoff and Andrew R. Tennenbaum under the banner of Fox 2000 Pictures in collaboration with 3 Arts Entertainment, Flashpoint Entertainment, Dune Entertainment, Ingenious Media and Big Screen Productions. Set in the 1930s, a former veterinary student takes a job in a traveling circus and falls in love with the ringmaster's wife. Water for elephants stars Reese Witherspoon in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Robert Pattinson, Christoph Waltz, Hal Holbrook, Paul Schneider, Jim Norton and Mark Povinelli. The screenplay is written by Richard LaGravenese which is inspired from Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen. The music was composed by James Newton Howard. Cinematography was done by Rodrigo Prieto and editing by Alan Edward Bell. The motion picture has a running time of 120 minutes. It was released on 5th May 2011 in English and Polish languages.
