What Will People Say is a 2017 Norwegian-language Drama movie written and directed by Iram Haq and produced by Maria Ekerhovd under the banner of Mer Film in collaboration with Rohfilm Factory GmbH and Zentropa Sweden. Sixteen year-old Nisha lives a double life. At home with her family she is the perfect Pakistani daughter, but when out with her friends, she is a normal Norwegian teenager. When her father catches her in bed with her boyfriend, Nisha's two worlds brutally collide. To set an example, Nisha's parents decide to kidnap her and place her with relatives in Pakistan. Here, in a country she has never been to before, Nisha is forced to adapt to her parents' culture. What will people say stars Maria Mozhdah in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Adil Hussain, Ekavali Khanna, Rohit Saraf, Ali Arfan, Sheeba Chaddha and Lalit Parimoo. The music was composed by Lorenz Dangel along with Martin Pedersen. Cinematography was done by Nadim Carlsen and editing by Janus Billeskov Jansen and Anne sterud. The film has a running time of 106 minutes. It was released on 6th October 2017 in Norwegian and Urdu languages.
