Where Hope Grows is a 2014 English-language Drama Family movie written and directed by Chris Dowling and produced by Steve Bagheri, Jose Pablo Cantillo, Milan Chakraborty and Simran Singh under the banner of Godspeed Pictures in collaboration with Stealth Tiger Entertainment and Attic Light Films. A baseball player whose professional career was cut short due to personal problems is suddenly awakened and invigorated by a young-man with Down syndrome who works at the local grocery store. Calvin Campbell is a retired baseball player and a father to Katie Campbell,an independent teenager. One day when he goes shopping for alcohol at the local market he meets an employee of the market. He talks to produce and is shocked when produce gives him a hug. Where hope grows features David Desanctis in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Danica Mckellar, Kerr Smith, Brooke Burns, William Zabka, Kristoffer Polaha and Mckaley Miller. The music was composed by Kyle Newmaster. Cinematography was done by Alexandre Lehmann and editing by Soojin Chung. The movie has a running time of 95 minutes. It was released on 15th May 2015. The film made a box office gross of $1 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Roadside Attractions.
