Will Penny is a 1968 English-language Romance Western film written by Tom Gries and John Martin. The movie is directed by Tom Gries and Brian Faull and produced by Fred Engel and Walter Seltzer under the banner of Nicholas Cartoon Films. Aging cowboy Will Penny gets a line camp job on a large cattle spread and finds his isolated cabin is already occupied by a husbandless woman and her young son. Will penny features Charlton Heston in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Joan Hackett, Donald Pleasence, Ben Johnson, Bruce Dern, Slim Pickens and Lee Majors. The music was composed by David Raksin. Cinematography was done by Lucien Ballard and editing by Warren Low. The film has a running time of 108 minutes. It was released on 10th April 1968. Will Penny was made on a budget of $1 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $1 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Paramount Pictures.
