Friday Night Lights is a 2006 English-language Drama Sport show developed by Peter Berg. Friday Night Lights was produced under the production house Universal Media Studios in collaboration with Imagine Television and Film 44. The series originally aired on NBC and The 101 Network. Odessa, Texas, is a small, town in Texas. Racially divided and economically dying, there is one night that gives the town something to live for: Friday Night. The Permian Panthers have a big winning tradition in Texas high school football, led by QB Mike Winchell and superstar tailback Boobie Miles, but all is not well, as Boobie suffers a career-ending injury in the first game of the season. Hope is lost among citizens in Odessa, and for the team, but Coach Gary Gaines, who believes that Perfection is being able to look your friends in the eye and know you did everything you could not to let them down, is somehow able to help the team rise up from the ashes and make a huge season comeback. Now on their way to state, the Panthers must go out and be perfect, because they may never matter this much for the rest of their lives. Written by Zac Abrams. Friday night lights features Kyle Chandler, Connie Britton, Gaius Charles, Zach Gilford, Minka Kelly, Adrianne Palicki and Madilyn Landry. The series is based on Friday Night Lights: A Town a Team and a Dream by H. G. Bissinger. The music was composed by W. G. Snuffy Walden along with Bennett Salvay. Cinematography was done by Todd McMullen, David Boyd and Ian Ellis. The show has a running time of 43 minutes for each episode. The show has a total of 76 episodes during it's run of 5 seasons. It was released on 8th October 2004 and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. Distribution rights for the series were acquired by NBCUniversal Television Distribution.

Friday Night Lights Season 5

In the fifth and final season, everyone is playing for keeps. The East Dillon Lions are back and competing at a top caliber level, but that only means the town’s expectations are running higher than ever. When a controversy erupts that takes the whole town by storm, Coach Taylor feels he’s losing his grip on the team. Luke faces pressure at the prospect of becoming QB-1, Billy learns some surprising news from Mindy, Becky starts a surprising new job and Tami is caught off guard by Julie’s plans. Will the Lions go state? Will the coach leave the team? That may be the least of the town’s worries in the powerful series finale that culminates in a true championship ending.
