Higurashi no naku koro ni is a 2008 Japanese-language Animation Horror show. Higurashi no naku koro ni was produced under the production house Shaun Cassidy Productions in collaboration with Warner Bros. Television. The series focuses on a group of young friends living in the fictional village of Hinamizawa and the strange events that occur there in 1983. Higurashi no naku koro ni features John Snyder in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Sôichirô Hoshi, Mai Nakahara, Satsuki Yukino, Yukari Tamura, Grant George and Mela Lee. The music was composed by Jon Ehrlich along with Jason Derlatka. The show has a total of 22 episodes. It was released on 10th May 2008.
