Powers is a 2015 English-language Action Crime series developed by Brian Michael Bendis and Charlie Huston. Powers was produced under the production house Circle of Confusion in collaboration with Jinxworld and Sony Pictures Television. The show originally aired on PlayStation Network. What if the world was full of superheroes who aren't actually heroic at all? What if all their powers were just one excuse for mischief, mayhem, murder and endorsement deals? Enter the men and women of the powers division, the brave people in charge of protecting humans like us and keeping the peace over commercialised, God-like men and women who glide through the sky imposing their power over the mortals who both worship and fear them. Based on the graphic novel by Michael Avon Oeming and Brian Michael Bendis, the edgy and dramatic Powers follows the lives of two homicide detectives, Christian Walker (Sharlto Copley) and Deena Pilgrim (Susan Heyward), who are assigned to investigate these cases. Powers features Sharlto Copley in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Susan Heyward, Noah Taylor, Olesya Rulin, Adam Godley, Max Fowler and Michelle Forbes. The series is based on Powers by Brian Michael Bendis Michael Avon Oeming. The music was composed by Jeff Rona. The show has a running time of 39-53 minutes for each episode. The show has a total of 20 episodes during it's run of 2 seasons. Distribution rights for the series were acquired by PlayStation Video.
