Samurai Jack is a 2001 Hindi-language Animation Action show developed by Genndy Tartakovsky written by Genndy Tartakovsky, Bryan Andrews, Brian Larsen, Chris Reccardi, Darrick Bachman, Charlie Bean, Paul Rudish, Aaron Springer, Chris Mitchell and Erik Wiese. The series is directed by Genndy Tartakovsky, Randy Myers and Robert Alvarez and produced by Genndy Tartakovsky, Dana Ritchey and Kelly Crews under the banner of Cartoon Network Studios in collaboration with Williams Street. airing on Cartoon Network and Adult Swim. In the distant past, a Japanese samurai embarks on a mission to defeat the evil shape-shifting wizard Aku. Before he can complete his task, though, he is catapulted thousands of years into the future. He finds himself in a world where Aku now enjoys complete power over every living thing. Dubbing himself Jack, he sets out on a new quest--to right the wrongs that have been done by his enemy and to find a way back to his own time so he can destroy the evil for good. Written by Alan Back. Samurai jack stars Phil Lamarr, Makoto Iwamatsu, Kevin Michael Richardson, Jeff Bennett, Grey Delisle, Tara Strong and Rachael Macfarlane. The music was composed by James L. Venable along with Tyler Bates, Joanne Higginbottom, And Dieter Hartmann, Paul Dinletir, Will Adams, George Pajon and Jr. The show has a running time of 22 minutes for each episode.
