The show premiered on March 3, 2013. The adventures of a Ragnar Lothbrok: the greatest hero of his age. The series tells the saga of Ragnar's band of Viking brothers and his family as he rises to become King of the Viking tribes. As well as being a fearless warrior, Ragnar embodies the Norse traditions of devotion to the gods: legend has it that he was a direct descendant of Odin, the god of war and warriors. Vikings features Travis Fimmel in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Katheryn Winnick, Clive Standen, Jessalyn Gilsig, Gustaf Skarsg Rd, Gabriel Byrne and George Blagden. The music was composed by Trevor Morris. Cinematography was done by John Bartley, PJ Dillon, Owen McPolin, Peter Robertson and Suzie Lavelle and editing by Aaron Marshall, Michele Conroy, Don Cassidy, Tad Seaborn, Christopher Donaldson and Dan Briceno.
