Marvel Anime: Wolverine Season 1
This series pays homage to Frank Miller's legendary Wolverine graphic novel from the 1980s. Logan a.k.a. Wolverine is informed by his Japanese friend and agent of the Japanese intelligence agency that Logan's girlfriend Mariko, who has suddenly disappeared from New York, is now in Tokyo. She was abducted by members of the crime organization "Kuzuryu", whose boss is Shingen Harada - the father of Mariko. Logan flies to Japan to destroy Kuzuryu and save Mariko. Once in Tokyo, Wolverine discovers that Shingen is not the only villain that he must face. He must travel to Madripoor – the criminal-run island city state – to finish up what he has started in Tokyo. That could be done only if he can defeat "Kikyo" – the Japanese mutant of the Wolverine species – and "Omega Red" – the Russian mutant and Wolverine's nemesis since the Cold War Era.
