Gidi is a census town in Dadi (community development block) of Hazaribagh district in the Indian state of Jharkhand.  As per 2011 Census of India Gidi had a population of 13,356. There were 6,989 males and 6,367females. Scheduled Castes numbered 1,914 and Scheduled Tribes numbered 1,781. As of the 2001 India census, Gidi has a population of 13,659.
