Habra (Bengali: ) is a city, a municipality and a police station of Barasat sadar subdivision in North 24 Parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is an administrative subdivision. Habra is situated on the Jessore Road between Kolkata and the Bangladesh border at Petrapole. Its location makes it an important town for export and import of goods between India and Bangladesh. Under British rule it was a base for Royal Air Force fighters. Habra is located at 2250N 8838E / 22.83N 88.63E / 22.83; 88.63. It has an average elevation of 13metres (42feet).
