Hinganghat (Marathi: ) is a town and a municipal council in Wardha district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Located about twenty-one miles southeast of the city of Wardha, the town is located on the banks of Vena River, a tributary of the Wardha River which joins to the Pranhita River, which ultimately flows into the Godavari River and on NH 7 which starts from Varanasi to Kanyakumari 70 km south of Nagpur Hinganghat has been, in the past, a center of the Indian cotton trade, as it is located in the fertile Wardha Valley.
