Jaysingpur is a city and a municipal council in Kolhapur district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The city got the name from Raja Jaysing, father of Shrimant Chatrapati Pratapsinh Maharaj of Kolhapur who developed the city. The city is famous for the tobacco market which is one of the biggest in the country. The city used to house production units of notable Gutkhas and tobacco in the region.
