Kangeyam (Tamil: ) is a Municipality in Tirupur district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Kangeyam was the capital of Kongu Nadu for many centuries. Kangeyam is situated in the heart of the Tirupur district. Kangayam is situated in the meeting point of NH 67, SH 37 and SH 205 Kangayam assembly constituency is part of Erode (Lok Sabha constituency). Mr.A. Ganeshmurthi - Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) - Kangeyam comes under Erode Constituency. Previously it came under Palani. Mr.Nataraj N.S.N - AIADMK Kangeyam has a central bus stand which is used by TNSTC, and the private operators. And there is a town bus stand adjusant to the central bus stand.
