Kashipur (Hindi: ) is a city and a municipal board in Udham Singh Nagar district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Kashipur was known as Govishan or Govisana, during the time of Harsha (606647 AD), when Xuanzang (631641 AD) visited this region.
